The mini zine is a thirty page accordion book made from one sheet of letter-sized paper. It is a double sided print, to be folded in quarters horizontally, vertically, and with three cuts to partially separate the rows. (If your printer can do borderless prints that's great but if it cant't, the border must be trimmed off before folding then cutting).
Long spreads are the pixel count shown, or 5.5 by 2.13 in (13.97 by 5.40 cm). There are twelve of these.
Tall spreads are 4.25 by 2.75in (10.80 by 6.99cm). There are three of these.
Single page (like cover or back) are 2.75 by 2.13in (6.99 by 5.40 cm). There are two technically but any spread can be halved.
One submission per artist. Original content only, no fan art. Drawings, traditional or digital, or photo but all must be grayscale. That means black and white only (saves time and keeps printing cost low for everyone)!
Writing can be submitted too but the space is very limited so the only text allowed is haiku or a six word story.
By submitting, you are agreeing to allow us to print and distribute the art in our zine. You will still own the rights to your submission and are free to use the art elsewhere, obviously. Dirty 30 is essentially an artist showcase. It is about the promotion of artists and their artwork.
Deadline is twenty-four hours before release day. Zine issued at the end of the month. Artists will recieve a .pdf to self-publish (print at home and distribute as desired) with the option to buy a quality print of the issue from the editors. Do not alter the .pdf or remove the credits from the back.
